Didipio Gold Copper Mining Project

Didipio Gold –Copper Mining Project is operated by Oceana Gold Philippines Inc. (OGPI), a significant gold ,producer in the Asia Pacific region. Didipio project is located in the north of Luzon Island approximately 270 kilometers NNE of Manila. The Financial and Technical Assistance Agreement (FTAA) between the Republic of the Philippines and OGPI originally covers 370 square kilometers which was later reduced to only 158 square kilometers after several years of exploration relinquishments. The open pit mine is expected to produce 200,000 ounces of gold and 70,000 tonnes of copper concentrate per year.

Open pit mining contract between DELTA and OGPI commenced on January 1, 2012. The contract covers the development and extraction of Dinkidi ore body which includes the movement of 47.7 million bank cubic meters of ore and waste over six (6) years. DELTA’s scope of works includes clearing and grubbing, site preparation, drilling and blasting, loading, hauling, ore feeding, waste dump and TSF construction, construction and maintenance of haul roads and drainage systems, bench maintenance and pit dewatering.
